As featured in the November 2009 issue of Phoenix Home and Garden magazine, this Modern Hacienda was built to allow the owners to entertain their family and friends all year round. It encompasses the southwestern elements of an old hacienda with all the smart home technology of the 21st century.
The contemporary design mixed with earthen elements of stone, wood, and metal perfectly complement the colorful interior design and textures throughout the home. Selected as one of the customer homes on the Free Arts Palette of Homes Tour, many of the guests chose to linger a good while, especially enjoying the relaxed and comfortable setting of the indoor/outdoor living room.
As you approach the entry, you are welcomed into a front courtyard with a fountain, banco seating area, and fire pit reminiscent of a small European Bistro. A large hand-carved door opens to the foyer where a stunning floor to ceiling water feature made of large sculpted stones graces the entry. The living room opens to a large outdoor living area through a 10 foot by 20 foot radius motorized pocket door.
The outdoor patio garden includes a zero edge pool, spa, stepping stones, spillway, water features, and a variety of mature southwestern trees. This Modern Hacienda is the epitome of luxurious living typically found at a five start resort.
